Project Feasibility & Advice

We provide guidance on the necessary considerations and legal requirements if you're thinking of purchasing, renovating or altering an historic building or a property within a conservation area. Q Heritage also work alongside architects and other professionals, offering design and best practice advice for your project.

Statements of Significance

This statement offers a comprehensive analysis of a heritage asset and its context, through detailed historical research and evaluation, and identifies where significance lies. Such insights are especially valuable for informing initial design decisions and aiding in pre-application discussions.

Heritage Statements

Heritage Statements are required to accompany planning and listed building applications affecting heritage assets and their setting. This includes listed buildings, scheduled monuments, conservation areas and non-designated heritage assets (locally listed buildings). As with the statement of significance, this report identifies where heritage value lies, but goes on to assess the potential impact of the proposals against criteria set by both local and national planning policy.

Measured Building Surveys

We are able to undertake a basic measured survey of your property in order to provide drafted plans, elevations and sections for you or your architect to work from.

Listed Building Consent

Q Heritage can assist in submission of Listed Building Consent applications, ensuring all the correct documentation is provided. We will continue to liaise with planning and conservation officers and other consultants throughout the determination process.
